A Reflection On As An Influencer Essay - 1293 Words

PPS: As an Influencer, two strong traits are articulation, carefully choosing each word to convey an idea, and optimism, generating positive emotions tied to the idea. The reason each trait, among others, is a strength is twofold. First, I have a natural inclination towards and feel at ease with both. Therefore, a level of comfort exists when using these traits, and I rely on these strengths to accomplish goals. With continued use, the skills become fully developed, stronger, and more comfortable. Additionally, I am strong in these two areas as I intrinsically value each and the interaction between the two. Articulation, as a SNCO and leader, is essential to giving direction, inspiring, counseling, and communicating. Miscommunication and failing to create positive emotions may lead to failed opportunities and lost chances. Likewise, optimism provides excitement and generates enthusiasm. A firm belief in the power and positive impact of an idea leads teams to believe, to act, and to persist through obstacles. Unfortunately, an audience struggles when ideas do not support a strong clearly articulated vision.. Although I consider both strengths, I do recognize a desire and need to further develop each. Whether through continued practice, insight from mentors, or formalized training, opportunities to refine these skills are abundant, and I plan on taking advantage of such opportunities moving forward.
